Wine Tasting – Fundraiser – March 8, 2026

We had a super fun and successful 1st ever Wine Tasting event at Aldaskeller Wine Co.! Over $500 raised to go directly back into our community! Chocolates were donated by Hedonist Artisan Chocolates! Cheeses came from Giordano Imports European Cheese Shop.

Thanksgiving Meals Deliveries – November 26, 2025

Captain Alicia Miller and three of her crew from South Ave. RFD: Truck 3/Engine 33 delivered all of the goods for a complete Thanksgiving meal to a family today and two other deliveries were made as well!
Thank you again to all of those that supported the South Ave Firehouse Experience fundraiser in order for these groceries to be purchased for these families!

South Ave Firehouse Experience – November 2025

Kiwanis Club of Rochester is teamed up with the South Ave FIREHOUSE for a chance to meet your local firefighters. Winner got a chance to have a STATION TOUR, a HOME COOKED MEAL in the firehouse, along with a RIDE around the neighborhood on a fire apparatus*.

Each ticket purchased directly contributed to our efforts in delivering Thanksgiving dinners to families in our community.

An Evening of Spooky Tales (Fundraiser) – October 23, 2025

One of our members, Kelly Schnupp, told numerous spooky tales from around the Wedge. The event was at Boulder Coffee Co. We had a full-house and raised over $400!! Thank you to everyone who came out!

1st Annual Bike Safety Rodeo – September 14, 2025

The partnership that we’ve created with Andrea Borelli at Cub Scouts Pack 20 brought together a beautiful collaboration with Kiwanis, Monroe County STOP DWI & Traffic Safety (we could not have done this without them) and the Frederick Douglass R Center! We pulled off a fun and successful 1st Annual Bike Rodeo!!🚲
And what a plus to have RFD, RPD, and the Sheriff’s Office show up! The ladder truck sure was a big hit…thank you to Captain Alicia Miller at South Ave station, home of Engine 33 and Truck 3 South Ave. RFD: Truck 3/Engine 33! 🚒👨‍🚒
RIT Circle K RIT Circle K International was a huge help with the kiddos going through the stations!
We were able to purchase 3 bicycles to giveaway…thanks to Kiwanian John Bartlett and Cub Scout Pack 20 Leader Andrea Borelli and have helmets available for kids to take home if they did not have one already, thanks to Kiwanian Ron Palermo.
Also, thank you to Kessler Trauma Center and Healthi Kids for having informational tables.
